Terrain & sky view
The Aragonese Pyrenees (Hecho, Ansó, Benasque) have slopes and ridges that can block the sky; the Ebro valley and the Monegros steppe are very open. In the mountains you need to raise the dish; on the steppe almost any point works.
Where fiber falls short
Zaragoza and the capitals (Huesca, Teruel) are well covered, but the Pyrenean valleys, the Ebro depression villages, the Teruel mountains and scattered southern farmhouses still lack it. Teruel's low density and the rugged Pyrenean terrain make Starlink an especially useful alternative.
Installation tips
1
In the Pyrenean valleys, raise the dish with a mast or pole to clear the ridge and gain sky view toward the north.
2
On the Monegros steppe and the Ebro valley, almost any open spot gives a good sky view; just avoid silos and tall sheds.
3
In winter the mountains accumulate snow; the dish has a snow-melt system, but place it somewhere accessible to check it.
Frequently asked questions
Does Starlink work at an Aragonese Pyrenees refuge?
Yes, as long as there's a reasonably clear sky view. In very enclosed valleys you may need to raise the dish above the ridge.
Does Starlink reach the villages of Teruel?
Yes, Teruel is within the service area. Low population density means many areas lack stable fiber; there Starlink is a solid alternative.
Does Pyrenean snow affect the dish?
The dish has a built-in snow-melt system. Snow buildup on the plate can reduce the signal, so an accessible location is advisable to check it.
